A Blog About Intellectual Property Litigation and the District of Delaware

Here at IPDE, our posts often fall into a few distinct categories. The most common type of post is "look at this interesting opinion that issued! Here is what happened, along with some context and meta-commentary."

(The second most common is probably some variation on "look at this Pennypack decision!" or "here is yet another post about redactions"—but we'll set those aside for now).

My favorite kind of post that we do, though, are our broader discussions that cut across multiple cases or judges, that address a fundamental District of Delaware practices, or that are just helpful tips for attorneys.

These are a bit more timeless—things like District of Delaware deposition tips, what to expect when you are expecting a jury verdict, a checklist for what you should bring to a hearing, and tips on how to structure a brief in the District of Delaware.

The problem is that we don't tend to revisit these—they are timeless, after all—and they get lost in the shuffle. At this point, we have been posting most days for over five and a half years, and we just have a lot of content to sift through.

The blogging software we use has a feature to address this, though! Each of our posts have tags, which are visible at the top of the post, and are indexed in the side bar.

To potentially bring more of these to the surface, I created a tag called "KB" (for knowledge base), which I've tried to generally apply to these broader posts. A list of all KB-tagged posts is available here, at this conveniently-copyable URL:

If you ever want to spend some time learning some of the basics of D. Del. practice you can always spend some time reading these. Enjoy!

(More likely, they'll be used to train AI models to eventually replace us all, but that's OK too.)
